On-Site Specialists Inc. is a referral service, comprised of practitioners who offer a wide range of expert health services. The emphasis is on improving health of seniors while targeting their most basic needs.
 
The result: We try to make things adaptable for seniors. The health practitioner visiting the facility ensures that situations are made comfortable for the seniors / individuals experiencing difficulty leaving their residences.

Our services are extensive. Select an individual service or a group of services. We understand that each individual and his requirements are as unique as the service itself.

OPTOMETRIST & COMPLETE EYE CARE SERVICE -
A licensed optometrist will perform complete eye examinations including vision efficiency, screening, pressure checks, glaucoma tests, etc. Optometrists will oversee the improvement and correction of vision. Ophthalmology referrals are given when deemed necessary and signs of ocular disease are detected. Prescriptions may be filled on premises including eyeglasses, adjustments and lens replacements.

AUDIOLOGIST & HEARING CLINICS -
A licensed audiologist will perform both basic screenings and, complete hearing check ups. Dispensing and fitting of all hearing aid styles and other auditory needs/earmold products.

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST -
A licensed speech pathologist to help seniors by assessing, treating and preventing speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, and other related disorders. Stuttering, fluency and cognitive disorders will be addressed. Speech pathology important for those seniors with Parkinson's, hearing loss, brain injury, stroke, and for those who have difficulty understanding and producing language.

 

DENTURIST-
A licensed denturist will clean and repair existing dentures. For those residents who require new dentures, the service will also allow a denturist to take mould impressions to make up new dentures.

DIETITIAN -
A certified dietitian might be incorporated within the facility in order to develop, administer and supervise nutrition and food preparation for the home at large. The dietitian will plan and evaluate nutrition educational programs. The professional will plan therapeutic diets and menus. The dietitian may also, work on a one-on one basis in order to determine the needs of an individual resident, in order to contribute to the health, prosperity and well being of the individual. The dietitian may consult and provide expertise on food choices for weight control, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and other special medical needs.

 

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST-
A registered massage therapist to help relieve muscle tension and stress, increase blood flow circulation, and stimulate weak muscles. Excellent for those seniors who suffer from arthritis, gout, bursitis, and a host of other medical ailments. 


PHYSIOTHERAPIST-
A registered physiotherapist to rehabilitate seniors by using physical, psychological, mechanical, educational and recreation needs. Individual and group strengthening, balance training, pain management, cardio respiratory intervention, avoiding falls, appropriate positions in bed, stroke management, and other related areas provided.

ACUPUNCTURIST -
An experienced acupuncturist will use the technique of employing the insertion of fine needles to treat a variety of conditions. Acupuncture will modify the experience of pain for many and release chemicals that have a widespread effect on the body's system and self-regulation. The procedure is excellent for both physical and psychological conditions that encourage the body to heal and repair itself. Acupuncture can be used for many of these conditions:
Acute Sinusitis, Asthma, Constipation, Diarrhea, Migraines, Arthritis, Ulcers, Bedwetting, Common Colds, etc.

 

CHIROPODIST -
A licensed chiropodist will diagnose, prescribe and provide treatment for seniors in a host of foot care areas including: ailments, diseases, defects, and disabilities. Customized shoes and orthotics also available.


CHIROPRACTOR - 
A conservative, holistic approach which addresses whole body wellness. The chiropractor will work to ensure that the entire nervous system is working fine. The chiropractor will discover problems that are interfering, while offering a hands-on healing. The treatment is designed to manage musculoskeletal complaints such as joint pain, backache, difficulties walking, etc.
